Words of wisdom from Jillian Michaels
Got this in my daily e-mail from JillianMichaels.com. The subject is "getting back on the wagon":
If you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world! Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals. Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow.
Good to remember as I climb back on my wagon. Should we think of the start of every day as "starting over?"
This is good advice. Stop beating yourself up when you mess up on something but also stop waiting until the beginning of the week/month to start over. Did you wake up this morning? That's your start over time. Not Monday, not after finals, every morning gives you another chance to do it right today!
This is good because I didn't go to the gym yesterday. I got dressed for it. Left the house. But I stopped to purchase a protective case for my nano and did something weird to my knee while shopping. I limped all the way to the car. No way was I going to get 2+ miles in with a limp. I came home. But today is a new day & another chance to "start over" and do it right.
